Welcome to Salem Elementary!

May Newsletter

A Warmer Hello!- April showers will bring May flowers, and if that adage is true, we will have lots of flowers in May. During this time of year, students show signs of “Spring Fever.” Let’s work together to help our students finish the school year strong by offering
words of encouragement to stay focused, maintain good work ethic, complete homework, and always be respectful toward others.

Parents, we need your help! We are
looking to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety during daily dismissal at 2:20 pm. We have students exiting from two buildings with their teachers as well as parents waiting in the archway– a lot of people in a small area.
Our students who ride the bus are weaving between people to board their bus. Students who are picked up along with their teachers are looking for their parents among many people. Parents who pick up their children can support our dismissal safety goal by waiting
on the front lawn. Share with your child and their teacher where your location will be on the front lawn.

Remember to read the newsletter carefully and review the many activities scheduled on the calendar then post in a conspicuous place. If you have any questions, please contact me at 518-854-9505.
